Justin Timberlake may be done with Cameron Diaz in real life, but reel life is another story.

The “Sexyback” star has landed the lead role opposite his ex-squeeze in the comedy Bad Teacher, which Jake Kasdan is set to direct for Columbia Pictures.

The plot chronicles the misadventures of a social-climbing junior high instructor (Diaz) who, upon being dumped by her sugar daddy, sets out to seduce a substitute teacher (Timberlake) who, as luck would have it, is also the heir to a watch fortune.

Bad Teacher costars Jason Segel and Molly Shannon and starts shooting later this month.

The Tribeca Film Festival is going green.

“Shrek Forever After,” from DreamWorks Animation and Paramount, will world preem April 21 as the fest’s opening-night film.

Directed by Mike Mitchell, the 3D toon is the fourth and final chapter in the blockbuster franchise. Mike Myers, Cameron Diaz, Eddie Murphy and Antonio Banderas return to lead the voice cast.

“Shrek Forever” is the second animated 3D film to open a major fest. Last year, Pixar’s “Up” was the opening-night film at Cannes.

“We have always sought to open our festival with films that are captivating and strike an emotional chord with moviegoers. ‘Shrek Forever After’ combines the very best storytelling and artistry, while showcasing the wonders of 3D filmmaking,” Tribeca fest co-founder Jane Rosenthal said.

“Shrek Forever,” produced by Gina Shay and Teresa Cheng, opens in theaters May 21.

In the final chapter, a domesticated Shrek finds himself longing for more adventurous days. Like it or not, his wish comes true when he’s duped into signing a pact with a smooth-talking Rumpelstiltskin. Shrek wakes up in an alternate reality where ogres are hunted and Rumpelstiltskin is king.

“It is a great privilege and tribute to our entire cast and crew to have been chosen as this year’s opening night selection,” DreamWorks Animation CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg said.

The Tribeca Festival runs April 21-May 2. Full feature film slate will be announced March 10 and March 15.

Jason Segel’s got it “bad” for Cameron Diaz.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Segel has signed on to play a gym teacher in the upcoming black comedy ‘Bad Teacher,’ starring Cameron Diaz as Elizabeth Halsey, a potty-mouthed, gold-digging seventh grade teacher looking to hook up with a colleague.

While its not yet clear if Segel’s character is Diaz’s ally or enemy, John Michael Higgins (‘For Your Consideration’) will play the school’s principal, and Lucy Punch has been cast as the “model” teacher who stands in Diaz’s way.

The film will be directed by Jake Kasdan (‘Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story’) and written by Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky (‘Year One’).

But first, Diaz has both ‘Shrek: Forever After’ and Michel Gondry’s ‘The Green Hornet’ coming out later this year. Segel, meanwhile, will star alongside Jack Black in this December’s ‘Gulliver’s Travels’ and is currently working on a Muppet movie with ‘Flight of the Conchords’ director James Bobin.

Joining up with co-star Tom Cruise for week-ending work duties, Cameron Diaz was spotted on the set of “Knight and Day” in Malibu on Friday (February 12).

Covering up her blue bikini top with a sheer white buttondown top, the “Charlie’s Angels” actress sported a nifty brimmed hat and short-shorts as she romped around the shoreline during the day’s filming session.

The sighting comes just after Miss Diaz stirred up romance rumors after spending a good deal of time alongside Alex Rodriguez at the Super Bowl festivities in Miami this past weekend.

“They are totally into each other and weren’t concerned about hiding it at all. They were really playful and seemed to be having so much fun together,” a source tells FOX Pop Tarts of the twosome.

Thanks to Entertainment Tonight, film geeks have gotten their first look at the upcoming action-comedy Knight and Day, starring Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz  The film, directed by James Mangold (Walk The Line), follows a mismatched couple– Diaz and Cruise– as they travel the world, engaging in hijinks and various misadventures.
