Are Cameron Diaz and Alex Rodriguez going to extra innings?
The pair, who reportedly broke up a few days ago, still seem to be gravitating toward each other when it comes to their nights out.
The actress, 38, and the New York Yankees slugger, 35, seemed quite the couple at the MTV Movie Awards afterparty, sponsored by Yoostar, at Soho House in West Hollywood Sunday night. “They left early holding hands. She was all smiles with him,” a source tells PEOPLE.
This follows another night out on Thursday at a bar in Los Angeles called Goal, where they watched Game 2 of the NBA finals.
Rodriguez’s Yankees have been on a West Coast swing, including a series this weekend against the L.A. Angels.

Cameron Diaz and Alex Rodriguez have called it quits.
The “Charlie’s Angels” actress and baseball pro reportedly split, a source told celebrity blogger Perez Hilton.
“They’ve broken up….[Cameron is] hurt and betrayed because she tried so hard to please him….She went overboard,” the source said.
The couple was first spotted together in 2010 and had dated off and on. Diaz, who attended Poly High School in Long Beach, Calif., did not confirm her relationship until her interview with Britain’s Elle magazine in its May issue.
“Yes, Alex is my boyfriend,” Diaz told Elle. “It’s not a secret anymore.”
It is not clear whether A-Rod indeed “betrayed” Diaz, but there were reports that, earlier this year while they were still going strong, the couple had appeared to be serious. Rodriguez was spotted looking at engagement rings, and Diaz introduced him to her mother Billie. Diaz had even moved to Miami to be closer to him and his children.
Diaz has been previously linked to Justin Timberlake and Matt Dillon, while Rodriguez has dated Kate Hudson and Madonna.
Diaz still has much on her plate. Her upcoming movie “Bad Teacher,” also starring Timberlake and Jason Segel, will hit theaters June 24. She is also filming “Gambit” with Colin Firth and Alan Rickman, which is scheduled to release next year.

Sports-mad California girl Cameron Diaz and diva supermodel Naomi Campbell aren’t exactly a duo you would usually put together.
But the two women strolled hand in hand last night during a night on the town in London like the best of friends.
After seemingly bonding during a New Year’s holiday in Hawaii, the pair have met up while the actress is in town promoting her new film Green Hornet.
Joined by Cameron’s boyfriend Alex Rodriguez and Naomi’s good friend Robert Hanson, the group had a late night dinner at exclusive celebrity favourite Nobu in Mayfair, before heading to Whisky Mist bar.
The Shrek star was elegant in a grey overcoat, scarf and mesh two-toned heels, while Naomi wore a provocative pair of buckled Christian Louboutin boots.
The 40-year-old added a fur coat and leopard-print scarf to the her layered black dress.

Sparking rumors of a reunion, Cameron Diaz and Alex Rodriguez were spotted leaving a fitness center in South Beach, Miami yesterday (November 23).
The “Sweetest Thing” actress looked a bit camera shy as she rode in the passenger seat of A-Rod’s black Mercedes.
Additionally, Cameron and Alex were seen enjoying a trip on a luxury yacht in Miami Beach earlier this month.
The could-be couple looked to be in trouble last month when Cameron was spotted out with Matthew Morrison, but perhaps she missed Rodriguez and decided to give things another go.

They are known as one of the most elusive celebrity couples.
But Cameron Diaz and her New York Yankee’s slugger boyfriend Alex Rodriguez, aka A-Rod, were finally pictured together for the first time, working out at a hotel gym.
The pair have managed to avoid being snapped together over recent months, with carefully staged managed entrances and exits while at the same place.
These snaps were taken on September 15 while they were staying at a hotel in Florida before A-Rod and his team played the Tampa Bay Rays the next day.
They were seen chatting together as the sportsman worked on his cardio on an exercise bike.
The pair have been secretly dating since February of this year, only weeks after A-Rod, 35, split from his previous girlfriend and fellow actress Kate Hudson.
They have gone out of their way to not be photographed together up to this point by arriving to and leaving from events separately, travelling in separate cars and even leaving A-Rod’s apartment building undercover with heavy security.
But despite all the privacy surrounding their courtship, it appears Cameron, 38, might have some competition for A-Rod’s affections.
Just yesterday the superstar baseball player was spotted leaving the gym with an unknown woman.
The couple walked back to A-Rod’s apartment building where they were joined shortly by none other than Modern Family actress Sofia Vergara.

, who has been rumoured to be dating the baseball star since April, has started publicly referring to the sportsman as her boyfriend and the pair are even said to be making plans to decorate a home in Florida together, reports femalefirst.co.uk.
“While having lunch at Morandi restaurant in New York Aug 19, Cameron was calling A-Rod her boyfriend. They’re decorating his place in Miami together; now it can be a place the two of them think of as their home,” said a source.
