Icon Film Distribution will releases The Box on 4 December. The movie is directed by Richard Kelly and stars Cameron Diaz, James Marsden and Frank Langella.

The year is 1976. Norma Lewis (Cameron Diaz) is a teacher at a private high school and her husband, Arthur (James Marsden), is an engineer working at NASA. They are, by all accounts, an average couple living a normal life in the suburbs with their young son… until a mysterious man with a horribly disfigured face appears on their doorstep (Frank Langella) and presents them with a life-altering proposition: the box.

With only 24 hours to make their choice, Norma and Arthur face a momentous moral dilemma. They soon discover that the ramifications of this decision are beyond their control and extend far beyond their own fortune and fate.

The Box will open in cinemas across the UK on 4 December 2009.

The 37-year-old star still isn’t sure how long she will continue acting or if she will eventually settle down and have a family.She said: “I’m not 40 yet and I don’t know what I am going to want. I’m certainly not sitting here worrying about where I am going to be at, I am just making the most out of the life I am living as I have been doing all along.
“As long as I am happy making movies, I will keep making movies. If I’m not, then I will do something else.”

Cameron’s latest project is ‘The Box’, which tells the story of a couple who are given a box by a stranger and told they will be given $1 million if they push a button on the box – but someone they don’t know will die.The blonde beauty was drawn to the script because she believes people should be aware of the repercussions of their actions.

She said: “There are so many chances in the world, but everything is connected. There is nothing in existence that doesn’t connect us to any experience and any person at any given time anywhere in the world.

“All you can do is the best you can and try to make the most aware and conscious decisions you can.”

Mike Myers and Cameron Diaz have brushed off rumors they have been banned from using social networking site Twitter.com by movie bosses.

This week saw a wave of reports suggesting Hollywood bosses are eager to clamp down on stars using the website, amid fears they will reveal important details about their upcoming film projects.
Myers and Diaz, who star in the upcoming Shrek sequel, were rumored to be the first hit by a wave of contract clauses forbidding them from using Twitter.com.

However representatives for the actors insist the news is not true, with a spokesperson for Myers telling GossipCop.com the stories are “completely false.”

Cameron Diaz and Mike Myers are among the Hollywood film stars that are being banned from Twitter because bosses thought writing tweets could damage the industry.

Actors were stopped by studios from leaking film information on social network sites and contract included clauses forbidding the stars. Stars affected include Cameron Diaz and Mike Myers, who are due to make a Shrek follow-up next year for studio DreamWorks.
The move followed the incident that Paula Abdul resigned this year using Twitter.
