I want to wish all of our visitors a wonderful Thanksgiving! May you have the best Thanksgiving ever and eat lots of turkey!!!
The release of the made-in-Boston horror thriller “The Box,” starring Cameron Diaz and James Marsden and directed by “Donnie Darko” filmmaker Richard Kelly, has been postponed to coincide with next year’s post-Halloween weekend.
Originally slotted for release on March 20, 2009, Warner Bros. moved the film’s launch to Nov. 6, 2009.
Based on the short story by Richard Matheson, “The Box” stars Diaz as Norma Lewis and James Marsden as Arthur Lewis, a suburban couple with a young child who receive a simple wooden box as a gift, which bears fatal and irrevocable consequences.
A mysterious stranger, played by Frank Langella, delivers the message that the box promises to bestow upon its owner $1 million with the press of a button. But, pressing this button will simultaneously cause the death of another human being somewhere in the world … someone they don’t know.
Cameron looked absolutely fantastic last night as she spoke during the 2008 CNN Heroes show at the Kodak theatre.I’ve added both HQ and MQ images into the gallery.Enjoy

Warner Bros. has shifted The Box, the latest thriller from Donnie Darko helmer Richard Kelly, from March to November 6, 2009. This is yet another release date change for the Cameron Diaz vehicle which is based on the Richard Matheson story “Button, Button.”
The official synopsis goes:
Norma and Arthur Lewis are faced with a terrible dilemma when a mysterious glass box turns up at their door. If they press the button inside the box, they’ll get enough money to save their ailing son, but in exchange, someone, somewhere in the world will die. When the temptation to save their beloved son becomes too much to bear, Norma pushes the button. Immediately, a gunshot rings out somewhere nearby. Consumed with guilt, Norma must do everything in her power to solve a murder she has knowingly caused.
Frank Langella and James Marsden also star.
On Thanksgiving night, CNN will be airing a special tribute to honor the 10 nominees for their Heroes Award. The show will be broadcast globally on CNN, CNN International and CNN en EspaƱol at 9 p.m. ET/PT and Anderson Cooper will be hosting the awards. Every nominee will be honored in a documentary tribute and a celebrity introduction which is where Cameron, Salma and Selena come into the picture. Wonder if Selena will be able to contain her excitement when she sees her idol Salma Hayek this time around!
The evening will culminate with the announcement of the CNN Hero of the Year. CNN opened up voting to the public through an on-line poll that generated more than 1 million votes. The Hero of the Year will win $100,000 in addition to the $25,000 that each of the top 10 CNN Heroes received upon their nomination. We’ll be tuning in to see our favorite Latina celebs, for sure, but we will also be rooting for top 10 CNN Hero Maria Ruiz, of El Paso, Texas. This selfless Latina regularly crosses the border into Juarez, Mexico to bring food, clothing and toys to poor children and their families. Now, if that isn’t something to be proud of, we don’t know what is!
